Alaina Hoskins is an author, entrepreneur, speaker, and senior English major at the University of the District of Columbia whose work empowers women to rise with identity, purpose, and resilience. She is the founder of The Strongest Fragrance Bar, a luxury fragrance brand that merges scent, storytelling, and affirmation to help women embrace confidence and inner strength.
A former celebrity hairstylist, Alaina has partnered with major brands and institutions including Harlem Fashion Row, Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue, ESSENCE, the LeBron James Family Foundation, and Gloria James. She is the author of Behind Church Doors: Overcoming Church Hurt, Purpose in Progress: A Women’s Prayer Journal, and the forthcoming Wounded by Friendly Fire: Surviving Spiritual Trauma.
Alaina is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. When I think of the Proverbs 31 woman, I do not see an unreachable standard. I see a woman becoming, refined through faith, strengthened through trial, and anchored in purpose. My own journey reflects that same truth. I am not defined by perfection, but by progress. I am shaped by God’s grace and guided by the lessons found in every season of rebuilding, rediscovery, and rising again.
Strength in my life has not always been loud. Sometimes it has shown up in the quiet victories, standing tall after heartbreak, forgiving when it felt easier to shut down, and choosing peace when the world expected chaos. Through each chapter, God has revealed that purpose evolves and that the woman I am becoming carries wisdom from every storm I have survived.
As an author, entrepreneur, and founder of The Strongest Fragrance Bar, I use my work to remind women that they are not defined by what wounded them, but by how they rise. My fragrance collections, including The Strongest Signature Line and the Divine 9 Collection, were created to merge scent, storytelling, and affirmation. Each fragrance speaks identity into a woman’s spirit: Compassion, Fearless, Ambitious, Empowered, Selfless. Each one is designed to inspire strength from the inside out.
For more than twenty five years, I have empowered women and girls through mentoring single mothers, uplifting survivors, and preparing scholarship opportunities for HBCU students. From my years as a celebrity hairstylist to my evolution as an author of impactful works on healing and spiritual restoration, God has allowed beauty to become my ministry and purpose to become my platform.
What makes me a Proverbs 31 woman is that I have lived, lost, learned, and loved deeply, yet I remain faithful to who God is shaping me to be. My prayer is that every woman who encounters my work feels affirmed, empowered, and reminded that her strength is already within her.
